From small to medium-sized parts, the HDSLA builds parts with a smooth surface finish, high accuracy and excellent fine feature detail that requires minimal finishing. It is ideal for a variety of solid imaging applications to patterns for investment casting.
Balancing speed, part resolution, and high resolution for ultra-detailed small parts and features, the high definition SLA uses a larger number of thinner layers, typically 50-100 microns to eliminate hand finishing, than standard SLA prototyping, which uses .007” layers. The HD-SLA provides better resolution and greater clarity of the design definitions, resulting in the prototype tolerances being more exact to the design.
